Iveco announces hiring options for heavy truck fleets 10 May 2012

Iveco and its in-house finance arm Iveco Capital have jointly launched a new flexible hire product claimed to give heavy truck operators greater flexibility on contract hire terms.

Named Flexi Hire, the product aims to reduce the financial risk of acquiring a vehicle on long-term contract hire, when the requirement for that vehicle might end before the contract period.

Flexi Hire contracts are now available from Iveco dealers nationwide on specific Stralis trucks, but Iveco says that others can be considered on request.

The Flexi Hire deal involves fixed monthly payments over five years, with annual mileages between 100,000 and 180,000km.

Included are scheduled servicing, maintenance and repair, carried out by manufacturer-trained technicians, plus tyre replacement and an option for Road Fund Licences.

Marta Nappo, marketing director of Iveco UK, explains that customers can exercise a break option with three months written notice effective from the relevant anniversary (either 12, 24, 36 or 48 months, as determined by the selected initial break point), or annually thereafter.

"We are introducing Flexi Hire in response to operators calling for greater flexibility to increase and decrease their fleet size according to their own business demands," explains Nappo.
