Iveco reveals DriveAway Options bodybuilding partners 18 July 2012

Iveco has announced partnerships with Ingimex and Alloy Bodies, its bodybuilders for the new DriveAway Options programme.

The programme sees a range of bodied 3.5-tonne New Daily chassis cabs and chassis crew cab models available to buy from its nationwide dealer network – honouring its promise to Transport Engineer earlier this year.

First vehicles are already on forecourts, with the initiative designed to enable operators to purchase a new LCV and have it on the road almost immediately.

The line-up includes tippers and dropsides, manufactured by Telford-based Ingimex, and Luton vans by Alloy Bodies in Manchester.

Iveco is focusing the DriveAway Options programme on the 3.5-tonne market initially, with a variety of New Daily models available offering engine power outputs from 106bhp to 146bhp, and wheelbase lengths from 3,450 to 4,100mm.

"We are re-introducing the DriveAway Options line-up following increasing demand from customers for a ready-bodied vehicle range, particularly in the light of impending Whole Vehicle Type Approval legislation," says Martin Flach, Iveco's product director.

"In many cases, it will allow an operator to walk into their local Iveco dealership and drive away in a bodied New Daily vehicle that same day," he adds.

Iveco expects to grow the range of Iveco vehicles included in the programme over the coming months.
