Vacu-Lug is using VMS, its web-based fleet management solution, for tyre management and is providing IWJS with data on inspections, tyre fitments, service fitments and work authorisations – giving the operator better financial control and compliance for its fleet.
The tyre firm is also supplying a mix of tyres, including Westlake, Hankook and its own-brand Logistik products.
“We provide round-the-clock waste management and industrial cleaning services throughout the UK... so we need to ensure maximum vehicle uptime while keeping a close eye on compliance and cost,” says Jowan Burt, group buyer for IWJS.
“Now we can measure it, we can manage it,” adds Burt. “Before, we had limited control over a somewhat disparate tyre procurement and management policy, but today we have instantly accessible and accurate tyre-related data at our fingertips.
