Jost dual height fifth wheels flex fleet for Matthew Kibble 25 May 2010

Nelson, Lancashire-based Matthew Kibble Transport has taken delivery of three Jost JSK DH200-P dual-height fifth wheels for its general haulage and megacube operations.

Managing director Matthew Kibble says that running both standard height and mega trailers calls for maximum flexibility, especially as much of his megacube work is seasonal, revolving around the music and entertainment industry.

Designed with safety and flexibility in mind, the Jost JSK DH200P offers two coupling heights of 165mm above chassis in its lowered position and 365mm when raised, so enabling low-deck tractor units to tow both mega and conventional semi-trailers.

For Matthew Kibble Transport, this equates to a fifth wheel height of 1,165mm for conventional trailers and 965mm for its mega trailers.

"We were first introduced to Jost dual height fifth wheels by our local DAF agent, who recommended them for their reliability and durability," says Kibble.

"We are delighted at the outcome; the product does everything we expect of it. In our opinion it's an excellent solution which is wholly fit-for-purpose," he adds.

Jost dual height fifth wheels are equipped with LubeTronic lubrication systems, which reduce maintenance times and costs.
