The accreditation means Jost can fit fifth wheels and wet kits, with operators able to register the vehicle with the DVLA and put it into service immediately.
For dealers, says Jost, it reduces paperwork and makes their operations faster and more efficient.
“The type approval process for new vehicle builds by Stage 1 manufacturers is not new, however the need to type-approve modifications and changes to vehicles prior to registration is a relatively new requirement,” says Danny Broomfield, Jost’s sales director for the UK and Ireland.
“As such, Jost UK offers its clients a one-stop service, which means they can get their vehicles into productive operation faster.”
He adds: “Type approval of the Jost UK workshop means that customers are free to concentrate on their core business of supplying or operating trucks, rather than having to work their way through a mountain of form filling.”
