Keltruck helps Solihull Transport with London LEZ 10 January 2012

Midlands-based haulage firm Solihull Transport has recently improved its fleet flexibility by converting three of its 20-plus commercial vehicles to work in the new London regulations enforced from 3 January 2012 .

The three Scania trucks – a 2004 R 470 6x2/4, a 2006 P230 4x2 and a 2005 R124 6x2/4 – were converted by Keltruck Willenhall, using particulate filters to reduce PM emissions.

Neil Crossley, managing director of Solihull Transport, explains that these vehicles were selected for conversion because they fell just outside the threshold, which requires to Euro 4 levels for PM emissions.

With the regulation compliance deadline approaching quickly, Keltruck delivered both on quality of work and within a tight timeframe, says Crossley.

"We are always happy with the service we receive from Keltruck," he states. "We are especially happy with our conversions, as Keltruck Willenhall accommodated us at such short notice."
