Krone Dry Liners prove their worth for bread distribution08 December 2017

Tipperary-based Quinlan Transport has taken delivery of its second consignment of Dry Liner box trailers from Krone, citing build quality and capacity as key reasons for the order.

The operator’s 30-strong trailer fleet delivers bread and bakery products to distribution centres throughout Ireland.

“We tend to cube out before we weigh out, and therefore need as much internal capacity as possible within the 4m overall height,” explains Quinlan Transport’s Michael Quinlan.

“These Dry Liners allow us to comfortably load up to six tonnes of bread and the insulated box is dry and secure.”

The Dry Liner is designed to work in both the UK and European markets: its slim, 100mm neck affords additional load volume and with a fifth wheel height of 1,250 mm, a total height of 4,000mm allows an internal height of 2,615mm.

“We compared the Dry Liner to similar trailers and found it to be best in terms of strength, loading capacity and overall value for money,” adds Quinlan.
