Krone helps Brian Yeardley to deliver into new markets17 November 2014

Transport and logistics operator Brian Yeardley Continental has extended its fleet of Krone commercial vehicles this year with another 20 Mega curtainsiders and four Mega box vans to meet a surge in business demand.

Brian Yeardley has already seen a 50% growth in turnover in the last four years and, with its 40th anniversary in 2015, is expecting higher revenue from its recent launch into the exhibitions and events logistics sector, as well as traditional European full load and groupage business.

The 100m3 Krone Mega Box Liners are constructed from high-strength insulated panels, making them suitable for high-value and fragile exhibition and event equipment.

The twin decks can accommodate 52 standard or 66 euro pallets for general cargo. Its new double decks are ideal for steel deck and truss rigging, and have a 22,500kg payload.

For added security, the Box Liners have been fitted with Krone's door locking system which is alarmed and fitted with a telematics monitoring device. The trailers were also specified with stowable loading ramps for loading or unloading at events venues.

Brian Yeardley's new Mega curtainsiders – or Profi Liner Mega trailers – are also high volume at 100m3 and will be used for Yeardley's general haulage and groupage operations in the UK and Europe, and as back up for the events division when needed.
