Lannutti Group signs 610-vehicle order with Iveco16 February 2017

Italian logistics operator Lannutti Group has signed a deal with Iveco for 610 trucks, a mix of New Stralis XP and NP tractor units.

The contract was announced last week (8 February) by Pierre Lahutte, Iveco brand president, and Valter Lannutti, president of Lannutti.

Lannutti is acquiring various models from the New Stralis range to cover the diverse sectors in which it operates, notably transport of glass products.

The vehicles will include New Stralis XPs with Cursor 11 engines, delivering 480bhp and equipped with Hi-Way cabins to boost fuel efficiency. Other XPs will have 460bhp engines and will be super light versions to maximise payload.

Also included are three-axle 6x2 XPs, also with Cursor 11 engines delivering 460bhp, along with NP (natural power) models with Cursor 9 engines delivering 400bhp with dual LNG tanks, able to guarantee a fuel range of up to 1,500km.

All of the vehicles will be equipped with Michelin tyres.

Iveco’s Pierre Lahutte says: “This is one of the most important European agreements in terms of vehicle numbers: 610 New Stralis in the XP and NP versions, both winning solutions for sustainable transport.”

Valter Lannutti adds: “We’ve chosen Iveco to renew our vehicle fleet for two main reasons: the product itself and our relationship of mutual trust.

“A good product is the basis of our business and we’ve been able to directly test Iveco’s innovation and quality. The second reason is the partnership that historically links us to the brand.. We have always found in Iveco the sensitivity and willingness to find optimal solutions which make the difference for our company.”
