Lawn care business Green Thumb has unveiled the new Mercedes Vito van to franchisees at its annual conference, with the organisation’s announcement that it will move its 750-strong fleet to Mercedes.

The Vito fleet will be supplied by dealer Roanza, with 120 new vehicles this year and the remainder being replaced within two years.

Green Thumb has specified the long-bodied 111 CDI model, with a 114bhp, 1.6-litre engine and front-wheel drive – a rear-wheel drive option is also available for the first time.

The vans are being supplied on CharterWay contract hire from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services, with maintenance and repair undertaken across the UK dealer network.
