Its seven Canters were supplied by local Mercedes-Benz Dealer Roanza Truck & Vanm which also took back its six previous vehicles in part-exchange.
Fitted with 5.0-metre box bodies, the new Canters are all 3C13 models with Comfort day cabs and 3.0-litre common-rail 130bhp turbo-diesel engines.
One has also been equipped with a fully-automated, dual-clutch Duonic transmission, specified to make life at the wheel easier for a particularly tall driver.
“We make full use of the available payload, which means that strength and durability, as well as reliability, are the key attributes that we need in a vehicle,” comments co-founder Robert Hall.
“Having researched the market we concluded that the Canter would best meet our requirements,” he continues.
“Unlike most 3.5-tonne vehicles, which are van-based, the Canter is a proper little truck and therefore, we hope, tough enough to withstand the rigours of our operation.”
Loft Interiors also runs a high-performance Vito van, and has owned other Vito models in the past.
“The after sales back-up has been great,” states Hall. “On the rare occasion that a problem has arisen a technician has been sent out immediately, and has been very efficient.”
