MAN trucks deliver fuel savings for French haulier 05 December 2013

French haulier Souchon Services has added 44 MAN trucks to its fleet for long-haul transport and distribution.

Souchon selected the TGX and TGS trucks based on total cost of ownership, with both models saving 3 litres of diesel per 100km trip. Featuring optimised aerodynamics, an on-demand air compressor and low rolling resistance tyres, the TGX EfficientLine delivers 480bhp and the TGS 320bhp.

"The MAN TGX and TGS are ideally suited to our company… For us, they are a guarantee of low consumption and they improve the energy balance of our vehicle fleet overall," says Laurent Souchon, chief executive.

Souchon's drivers are trained to drive economically with MAN ProfiDrive, adding to the potential fuel savings.
