“We had identified that there was an important market for Isuzu trucks within our fleet. This has subsequently been proven by the fact that they are really popular with our customers, as a result of the combination of their impressive payload and compact footprint,” says Dave Hutchins, MC Rental’s group sales director.
Recent investment means the average fleet age is under two years, he adds, and the Isuzu trucks offer “impressive whole life costs and proven reliability”.
More than 10% of MC Rental’s fleet is now made up of Isuzu rigids, with the Forward N75.190 model proving most popular.
Body types include temperature-controlled vehicles, curtainsiders, box bodies, drop sides, tippers, beaver tails and truck-mounted crane bodies.
“Payload is probably the biggest plus point for Isuzu, but overall we find that the whole package from Isuzu is pretty impressive. Additionally, and most important for a rental business, the vehicles are very driver friendly and supported by an effective national service network,” adds Hutchins.
