Mercedes-Benz vans play starring role for events firm 17 August 2011

Warwickshire-based 360° Creative Event Services has chosen Mercedes-Benz vans to boost the lighter end of its fleet.

The company's five Sprinter 313CDIs and three Vito 113CDIs were supplied by Coventry dealership Midlands Truck & Van, and are powered by low-emission, 129bhp Euro 5 engines.

They are the first Mercedes vans on 360° Creative Event Services' 50-strong fleet, although the line-up includes a premium-specification Mercedes-Benz Actros articulated tractor unit.

The 3.5-tonne Sprinters are used by crews who travel nationwide to set up everything from live sporting events to conferences, seminars and product launches. The company ordered its Sprinters in three different lengths – two extra-long models, a pair of longs and a medium – reflecting the varied nature of its work and the differing volumes of equipment carried.

The 2.8-tonne, long-bodied Vito vans, meanwhile, are primarily driven by project managers. Two are Dualiner models with second rows of seats, so that additional staff can also travel.

"We are a premium company providing a premium service and we need vehicles that reflect this," says Simon Burton, commercial manager at 360°.
