Microlise releases upgraded solution with dual-fuel vehicle reporting08 April 2016
Microlise has released an upgrade for its Fleet Performance telematics product, enabling operators to produce reports for alternative and dual-fuel vehicles.
The reports provide usage data in the vehicle’s native unit of measurement and also convert the information into a gasoline equivalent for easy comparison.
Matthew Hague, Microlise’s executive director for product strategy, says the upgrade has been made in advance of a potential increase in demand for this type of vehicle.
“Several fleets have already trialled or begun operations with dual fuel and we want to ensure we have a product available now to support fleets as the technology becomes more mainstream,” he says.
“We are seeing more government initiatives to encourage low-emission vehicles, with dual-fuel technology being out in the lead as one of the best ways to achieve this,” adds Hague.
The product release also include improvements to the Fleet Performance user interface, Carrier trailer tracking and temperature monitoring functionality.
