More than 250 exhibitors sign up for the CV Operator show 22 February 2010

Organisers of the 2010 Commercial Vehicle Operator Show say they are delighted with the latest exhibitor figures which total more than 250, of which 51 will be exhibiting for the first time.

Nick Jones, chief executive of the SOE (Society of Operations Engineers), one of the three CV Operator Show partners, says: "This is tremendous news."

"The past 12 months have been particularly difficult for the UK road freight industry. Those who have been sufficiently resilient to weather the recent financial storm will emerge leaner, fitter, more cost-effective and more cost-efficient than ever before."

Jones adds that he is confident that, with help from the range of suppliers presenting their products and services at the show, the transport industry's recovery "will happen sooner rather than later".

The event runs at the National Exhibition Centre, Birmingham from 13-15 April 2010.
