Mr AdBlue backs new UK AdBlue supplier 17 October 2014

The man who introduced AdBlue to the UK – and who registered the AdBlue name – is leading Top!Blue, a new AdBlue supplier, into the UK.

Antonio de Bruijn, founding executive chairman of the new company, says the time is right, as the market for AdBlue will triple over the next decade in response to requirements of the increasing UK fleet of Euro 6 trucks, coaches and buses.

Top!Blue, which is part owned by a subsidiary of Sinopec, one of China's largest petrochemical companies, starts operations next month (November 2014) and will run six UK AdBlue blending plants in service by the end of this year.

"Many may wonder why we are entering what seems a saturated market for AdBlue in the UK truck and bus market, but ... we know we can deliver excellent value," states David Ansorena, Top!Blue's managing director.

He explains that this will result from having its own blending plants and an efficient logistics operation.

"We will ... have a complete service to offer, including innovative solutions that do not currently exist in the market," continues Ansorena.

"Our investment in creating six UK blending operations – with a seventh planned to come on stream early in 2015 – demonstrates our commitment and intention to become a major AdBlue market supplier."

All Top!Blue blending plants will be ISO9001 accredited and manufacture AdBlue according to strict quality control procedures using high quality raw materials, he says.

Our customers are guaranteed to receive batch-to-batch consistency and full traceability to ISO22241. Certificates of analysis will be published and made available to customers through our website," states Ansorena.

"I believe that the Top!Blue offer brings a new dimension to the British market and that we can provide vehicle operators with innovations and a more efficient solution than is currently available," concludes de Bruijn.

"Besides efficiency we will challenge the market to improve customer service. If there are two dominant suppliers {Greenchem and Yara] in a market experiencing high growth, there is almost by definition room for improvement."
