New building materials trailer unveiled by Krone 09 February 2016

Semi-trailers specialist Krone has unveiled a two-axle building material trailer, which it describes as “robust and practically-orientated” to meet the needs of transportation in that industry.

The company says its new trailer offers exceptional stability, thanks to its torsion-resistant chassis, which sports 30 mm thick, waterproof and sealed phenolic floor plates.

The anodised alloy side walls (1,000 mm high) each have two tailgate flaps, which can be folded down or removed, as well as continuous tie rods for additional stability and security. The folding steps integrated into the drop-sides are also standard.

Also new is an optional drop-side lifting aid (retrofittable to existing vehicles), while its steel bulkhead has been reinforced on the inside with a phenolic plate.

Finally, for load security, Krone recommends its Multi Rail, a lashing rail integrated into the centre of the floor that, in conjunction with the Multi Lock external frame, offers the widest range of lashing points.

Tare weight of the material load carrier is 3,500kg – meaning 14,500kg payload..
