New buses for Aberdeen as First invests £3.5m 09 May 2013

First Aberdeen has announced a £3.5 million investment in 23 single decker buses.

Manufactured by Falkirk-based Alexander Dennis, the new buses will enter service from June. The Enviro 300s will all have low floor access, and are powered by Euro 5 engines.

All the new buses will be fitted with leather seats and passengers will have complementary wi-fi on board. Meanwhile, the interior has been modified to allow greater flexibility for both buggies and wheelchairs.

"Our £3.5million investment in 23 buses reflects our aim to improve services for our customers and our commitment to encourage more people to use our services and to use them more often," says director and general manager of First Aberdeen, Duncan Cameron.
