New dry freight box trailer rolls into the UK market24 August 2015

Krone Trailers is launching a new dry freight box trailer to the UK market which, it says, will set a new standard in loading flexibility and add value to operators’ bottom lines.

The Dry Liner – available from September – is a Code XL-certified trailer, designed for both the UK and European markets. With a fifth wheel height of 1,250mm common to the UK, the total height will be 4,100mm; with a fifth wheel of 1,150mm for mainland Europe, the total height is 4,000mm.

A standard UK internal height of 2700mm is still achieved.

Krone is using its own chassis designs from the Huckepack (Rail) trailer range and, it says, the 102mm neck chassis on the new Dry Liner promises outstanding rigidity and durability.

The Dry Liner also features KTL and powder-coating finish with a 10-year anti corrosion warranty to all treated parts. It also incorporates container-type flush doors, which offer high security and clean, even surfaces for livery application.

Krone's sales manager Jason Chipchase describes the Dry Liner as "a fantastic addition to the market", adding: "Structural bodywork certification (EN12642 Code XL) allows operators to form-fit loads, which is key to maintaining fast, efficient and compliant strapless loading."

He continues: "Low cost of ownership over the long term is a key benefit: high quality components, on-line parts availability and round-the-clock support are also standard with Krone. In addition, due to the trailer's mainland European compliance and exportability, the residual value remains high."
