New update to ATA Roadside accreditation01 April 2014

The Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) has updated its ATA Roadside accreditation to include a greater focus on safety when working at the roadside.

The update also introduces four levels to reflect the diverse skills required to work on vehicles outside a workshop setting.

These are Tyre Technician and Assistance/Recovery Technician, as well as the original Diagnostic Technician and Master Technician accreditations.

Developed in conjunction with key industry players such as the AA and RAC, the new-look ATA Roadside has also been trialled with Allianz, Mansfield Group and Kavanagh.
