Nissan’s all-electric van available from £13,39322 May 2014

Nissan has announced the pricing and specifications for its e-NV200 electric van which, it says, offers "unbeatable" savings compared to running a diesel van.

The model is based on its NV200 and has an all-electric drivetrain, delivering running costs of 2p per mile. In addition, the vehicle is exempt from road tax and the London Congestion Charge.

Available from July in both panel van and five-seat combi form, the e-NV200 can be purchased outright or acquired through a 'Flex' contract, which reduces the price by providing the battery on lease.

Funding is available for either option via the government's Plug In Van Grant: up to £8,000 for the panel van, and £5,000 for the combi.

This takes the purchase price for a panel van, in entry-level Acenta trim, to £16,562, and £22,859 for the combi.

With the Flex battery leasing option starting at £61 per month, the purchase price for these models reduces to £13,393 and £17,855 respectively.
