Leading transport and logistics operators came together last month to applaud the best in the passenger and freight sectors at the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport's (CILT's) 2014 North West Awards for Education and Excellence.

Almost 300 guests attended the gala dinner on 20 June in Liverpool, where 10 awards were presented to individuals and organisations.

The Best Practice in Freight Transport prize went to Nagel-Langdons, with Merseytravel coming top in the Passenger Transport category.
