Operator expects Vito Sport to open doors 26 July 2013

David Horne, co-director of Huntingdon-based BH Doors & Engineering, has purchased his first Mercedes-Benz van – partly to advertise his door business.

Supplied by dealer Rygor's Reading branch, Horne's vehicle is a Mercedes-Benz Vito 116 CDI Sport Compact Dualiner, powered by the163bhp, 360Nm power unit, mated to a five-speed automatic transmission.

"The Vito Sport is really two vehicles in one," explains Horne. "It's a practical, fuel-efficient van while I'm working, but it doubles as a stylish and comfortable private car for the evenings and weekends."

As a Dualiner model, the Vito Sport is fitted with a second row of seats, allowing Horne to carry four passengers in comfort and safety.

"That's very useful as my son plays in a band and I use the Vito to ferry him, his band-mates and their instruments around," reveals Horne.

"The Vito is racked out to carry all of my tools and looks fantastic. So much so that I've had a lot of very positive comments from customers and others who've seen it on the road."
