Operator piles on the performance with Isuzu trucks11 February 2014

Piling and foundation equipment supplier Piletec has taken delivery of its first Isuzu vehicles, five 7.5-tonne rigid trucks.

The five Isuzu Forward N75.190 rigids have been taken on a four-year contract hire agreement, financed through BNP Paribas, and were supplied by dealer Warrington Vehicle Centre.

Specified with medium wheelbases, the new rigids all feature the Easyshift transmission and are fitted with a 16ft aluminium dropside body, built to Crossrail specification.

"During the fleet replacement programme, we were really impressed by the finished quality of the Isuzu trucks, the compact overall footprint of the vehicles and the projected running costs," says David O'Brien, national operations manager at Piletec. "Isuzu certainly ticked all the right boxes for us and were the obvious choice."

The latest additions join the company's 12-strong fleet. They are operating from Piletec's depots in Wigan, Milton Keynes and Harlow, delivering piling equipment to sites across the UK.
