Paper recycling firm turns over new leaf with MAN20 January 2017

Paper recycling company Parry & Evans has boosted its fleet to 25 vehicles with the delivery of seven vehicles from MAN Truck & Bus.

The new arrivals are three MAN TGS 26.400 6x2s, one MAN TGX 26.480 6x2 and three of the manufacturer’s TopUsed vehicles, including two more MAN TGX tractors.

The new 44,000kg gtw TGS trucks have a rear steer axle, M day cab and are powered by a six-cylinder 12.4-litre engine driving through a Tipmatic 12-speed transmission, delivering 400bhp at 1,800 rpm.

The new TGX, meanwhile, has an XLX sleeper cab and is also 44,000kg gtw. It has a six-cylinder, 12.4-litre engine delivering 480bhp at 1,800 rpm and drives through a Tipmatic 12-speed transmission.

All vehicles will sport the Parry & Evans livery, which features a large red Welsh dragon on the side of the cabs.

Lee Evans, operations director for family-run Parry & Evans, says: “These new vehicles will be put to work across the country and, with MAN, we know our drivers will be happy. The cabs are spacious and comfortable and from a business perspective, they are both economical and reliable.”

All vehicles are supplied with a full R&M package.
