Petro-Canada Lubricants goes tougher and better on PC-11 01 August 2016

Petro-Canada Lubricants has revealed its PC-11 lubricants standard branding in advance of the introduction of two new categories of heavy-duty engine oils in December (2016).

Under the catchline ‘The tougher the better’, Petro-Canada’a campaign, aims to stimulate fleet engineers’ awareness of the next generation of heavy-duty engine oils claimed to deliver durability and strength.

“Durability, strength and efficiency... are the defining features of Petro-Canada Lubricants and how we position our PC-11 offer,” comments Howard McIntyre, vice president, Lubricants at parent company Suncor.

“We are scheduled to imminently reveal our PC-11-ready product line, which we believe is set to be the world’s toughest range of heavy duty engine oils,” he continues.

“The tougher the better offers a clear statement of intent to our customers to show we’re PC-11-ready and committed to the changes ahead.”

The PC-11 specification will require heavy-duty engine oils to offer enhanced oxidation and aeration control as well as shear stability – all designed to contribute to delivering increased fuel economy, emissions reduction and engine protection.
