Pets at Home selects Cartwright double-deck trailers again 01 November 2016

National pet products retailer Pets at Home has added another six double-deck curtainsiders from Cartwright to its 65-strong semi-trailer fleet – all virtually the same as last year’s half dozen.

One new feature is the new trailers’ buckleless curtains, which rely on an air-operated tension system, enabling the driver to secure the curtains faster and more efficiently.

“We have been delighted by the excellent quality of the product and service from Cartwright,” comments Campbell Baxter, fleet and compliance manager for Pets at Home, adding that these latest trailers are the result of a long-term working relationship.

“It is our company policy to have our drivers’ views on trailer specification, and this is important when we choose our final requirements as they get something they are prepared to work with,” he continues.

“We are an expanding company and it is vital that we have the right trailer product and specification to meet our needs.”

The new trailers will carry mixed products from manufacturers to the company’s distribution centres in Northampton and Stoke, as well as to Pets at Home’s 400-plus retail stores.
