Piletec returns to Isuzu for fleet replacements15 February 2018

Piling equipment supplier Piletec has taken delivery of five new Isuzu Forward 7.5-tonne rigids, replacing its first Isuzu vehicles which have been in use for four years.

Supplied by dealer Warrington Vehicle Centre, Piletec’s Forward N75.190 4x2 rigids – like their predecessors – have been supplied on four-year contract hire.

The vehicles’ reliability not only made the replacement decision an easy one, but has also led to another Isuzu order for six Forward N75.190 rigids for sister company Mr Cropper, due for delivery in April.

Darren Barton, operations manager at parent company Vp plc, said: “We had no hesitation whatsoever in going back to Isuzu Truck and Warrington Vehicle Centre when we were looking to replace the Piletec and Mr Cropper vehicles.

“The Isuzus certainly earned their money, however, we needed to ‘up spec’ the new trucks to be not only FORS compliant but also LEZ compliant, with the vehicles regularly running in and out of the London conurbation.”

Piletec’s new vehicles all feature Easyshift automatic transmission and have been fitted with 16ft aluminium dropside bodies.
