Princess Coaches taps into benefits with TruTac17 October 2016

Princess Coaches says it has improved efficiency and saved administrative time with systems from TruTac, describing them as “a worthwhile investment”.

When the Southampton-based operator was looking for a new clocking system, it approached TruTac after one of its drivers saw the system in use with another coach company. Now, Princess uses the TruControl PSV system for tacho analysis, along with the TruTime clocking system.

Together, says Princess Coaches’ manager Richard Mathews, “they make recording, analysing and managing drivers’ working time easy”.

After seeing the system online, it was an easy decision “because of the amount of data it can collect and the time it can save me by doing so”, reports Mathews.

“Where once I’d be chasing drivers to download cards every week, now they do it every day when they clock in and out.”

Designed for the coach and bus sector, TruControl PSV analyses mixed EU and domestic drivers hours, Working Time Directive and both digital and analogue tachographs.

“We now rely on it for all of that, plus we use it to verify payroll,” says Mathew. “It’s easy to use and because it’s web-based, we can run it on smartphones and tablets when we’re out of the office, saving phone calls back to the yard.”

He adds: “TruControl PSV and TruTime have been a worthwhile investment in our business.”
