Prospect takes Irizar Coach & Bus Live show vehicle 05 October 2015

Prospect Coaches, which operates vehicles out of the West Midlands, has qcquired the 12.9-metre Irizar i6 being shown at last week’s Coach and Bus Live Show (30 September to 1 October, NEC, Birmingham).

The 57-seat tourer is Prospect’s second, and it follows “exceptional” performance from the first Irizar, delivered in April 2015.

“We have a fleet of 51 vehicles, and we are realistic about new coaches – they are hand-built vehicles, unlike cars,” comments Prospect Coaches director Roslynd Hadley.

“But I can honestly say that of all the coaches we have ever had new, the i6 Integral has been the best,” she says.

Hadley says she “fell in love” with the i6 Integral in February, when the company visited Irizr’s factory, and bought a 12.9-metre coach with the Euro 5 PR265 engine directly afterwards.

Transport manager Nathan Hadley also praised the engineering quality when his engineers did the pre-delivery inspection.

The show vehicle has DAF’s award-winning Euro 6 MX11-271 369bhp engine mated to a ZF-AS-Tronic gearbox. The coach also has 57 i6 seats with iLeather headrests and piping.
