The new system brings together vehicle-related data from multiple organisations, such as contract hire and leasing firms, rental suppliers, maintenance providers and fuel card companies, combining it with driver performance data in bespoke dashboards.
The company says the volume of vehicle- and driver-related data is already at “unprecedented” levels and, until now, this information has typically only been available in “individual silos”, according to Marcus Puddy, founder of PVS Group.
He adds: “The new PVS Innovation management information platform provides all the answers to difficult questions relating to fleet operating costs and driver behaviour in one easily accessible location.
“Combining data to view vehicle whole life costs is not new. But what is a breakthrough is providing the ability for fleet decision-makers to view the information in a quick and easy format, even when it is being generated by multiple organisations.”
Dashboards can be customised and set up for multiple users, with definable ‘rule sets’ to prompt the system to highlight data outside predetermined parameters, says PVS.
Puddy says the system is “a magic mirror” for fleet managers, enabling them to ensure compliance and see where cost savings can be made.
