Refrigerental takes centre stage with giant WW1 commemoration08 August 2014

Vehicles from Burnt Tree's Refrigerental business went into action recently in Liverpool, supporting the city's World War 1 anniversary commemoration, which saw three giant puppets roaming the streets.

The giants – a grandma, a granddaughter and a dog – were used to tell the story of the city's involvement in WWI. The organisers used two refrigerated vehicles as support vehicles for the operators of the giants, providing them with drinks and refreshments during the three-day event.

Burnt Tree Refrigerental's branch in Wigan supplied Liverpool City Council with a Nissan NV200 refrigerated van with a Carrier Neos 100 refrigeration system, and a Vauxhall Vivaro incorporating a Carrier Xarios 200 refrigeration system.

Thousands of people lined Liverpool's streets for the three-day performance.
