Renault Master now available with Euro 6 engine29 March 2016

Renault Trucks has announced that its Master range is now available with a Euro 6 engine delivering 110 to 170bhp, offered in 2.8- to 4.5-tonne versions.

The Master van qualifies for Euro 6 registration in the light and heavy duty categories, so it can incorporate heavy bodywork, such as a cherry picker; Renault can also supply approved dropside, Luton or tipper bodies through its Ready for Business range, launched last year.

The vehicle has selective catalytic reduction (SCR) technology and a 22-litre Adblue tank, located on the opposite side to the diesel inlet, which gives an operating range of up to 7,500 miles.

It is also equipped with bi-turbo technology, enabling low-pressure turbo and high-pressure turbo to be operated in turn, or simultaneously, to deliver greater torque at low engine speeds (380 Nm from 1,500 to 3,000 rpm).

Other features include a Driver Assist system, which suggests when to change gear, and a Media Nav 2.0 system, with 7in touchscreen navigation screen and an audio system featuring a DAB digital radio, USB and jack plug and Bluetooth.

Safety extras include a camera and reversing sensor, plus the ability to automatically switch headlight settings from high to low beam when a vehicle is detected less than 600 metres away.
