Renault signs up west of Scotland dealer23 July 2021

Renault Trucks UK and Ireland has announced the further expansion of its dealer network with the opening of a new service point near Glasgow. Working with Renault Trucks’ wholly owned dealer, Renault Trucks Scotland, A&D Logistics Ltd joins 74 other strategically located sites across the UK and Ireland providing expert knowledge and specialist support to owner drivers and large fleet operators.

Opened in April 2017, the 11.5-acre site is located to the West of Glasgow at Linwood, Paisley and is ideally situated to service customers from the Glasgow West, North Ayrshire and Argyll. Reporting to Renault Trucks Scotland at Bellshill, the new site will enhance the manufacturer’s dealer network in the West of Scotland.

Derek Leech, service market & retail development director at Renault Trucks UK & Ireland, says: “We are pleased to announce the addition of A&D Logistics as another service point in the UK, further strengthening our network coverage in Scotland. With the latest addition in Linwood, we are able to provide a more comprehensive local commercial vehicle service offering that meets all of Renault Trucks’ exacting dealer standards to customers operating in the area.”

A&D Logistics has a team of 10 experienced technicians and an experienced management team committed to developing the Renault Trucks brand through the promotion of new and used trucks sales in addition to core workshop services, parts supply and 24/7 roadside assistance to existing and new customers in the area, supported by the team at RT Scotland.

A&D Logistics is a family-owned business established in 1995 and the strength of its management team and ‘lean’ decision making have contributed to a strong business with an excellent reputation in the industry. Commenting on the appointment, Drew Bolsworth, Managing Director, A&D Logistics Ltd says: “As an established transport operator starting with only two trucks, we understand the demands and needs of hauliers from the owner driver to larger fleets, and believe this puts us in a strong position to support Renault Truck customers and to meet their expectations.”

Adding to this statement, Alan Bolsworth (Snr.) Managing Director comments: “After some discussions with Pete Murray, dealer principal at Renault Trucks Scotland, we got to understand the Renault Trucks’ longer-term strategy for Scotland, and how a partnership could offer mutual benefits while, at the same time, deliver on the commitments to increase market share and customer satisfaction to customers in Scotland. My team and I are looking forward to welcoming customers to our service point and to deliver the high standards and responsive service levels that Renault Trucks customers can rely on”.

Pete Murray, dealer principal of Renault Trucks Scotland adds: “The appointment of A&D Logistics Ltd provides vital strategic support for our customers in the West of Scotland and continues to demonstrate Renault Trucks’ commitment to our Scottish customers since taking over the business from a private dealer in October 2017.”
