The Lancashire-based rental business ordered the vehicles as part of a fleet investment programme and says Isuzu’s Forward will now be the favoured 7.5-tonner for the fleet.
“We have operated Isuzu trucks within our fleet for many years now on different applications and we have found that, at 7.5 tonnes, they offer a very impressive payload indeed, says Chris Snelson, Riverside’s fleet and asset director.
“We also find that the Easyshift automatic transmission option is a really attractive proposition for our customers.”
Positive customer feedback on existing Isuzu trucks in the fleet made the decision “a simple one”, he adds.
The new additions are expected to remain in service for five years, covering anything from one-day spot hires to long-term rental all over the UK.
