The operator went for an Isuzu N75.190 manual crew cab rigid truck, fitted with a fully demountable Worldwide Recovery Aluminium Lo Slider body, supplied by RecoveryVehicles.com.
Mark Crawley, director of Road Runners Recovery Service, says he was impressed by the payload offered by the Isuzu 7.5 tonne gvw truck.
“To keep up with our customer requirements, we needed a crew cab with good payload,” he explains. “The Isuzu fitted the bill perfectly.”
Crawley adds that, being based within the London Low Emission Zone, all Road Runners’ vehicles must satisfy the emission standards.
“Overall, we felt that the Isuzu 7.5 tonne Euro 6 crew cab was the right vehicle for our fleet requirements.”
Features of his new recovery truck include: five safety cameras, including a reversing camera providing 24-hour recording; voice recording in the cab; air-conditioning; and extra-large lockers.
As for the body, it has been equipped with a sliding winch, and delivers an impressive 4° vehicle approach angle, designed for low profile, prestige vehicles, as well as a second car lift for towing an additional vehicle.
