Roadvert technology measures vehicle graphics impact03 July 2018

Fleet operators can generate new revenue streams of up to £1,000 a year per vehicle, with a new technology tool developed by Roadvert, best known for its Spedian reusable vehicle graphics system.

The Roadvert Media tool, says the company, can assess the size of an audience and segment it by age, better demonstrating the potential reach of vehicle advertisements.

Promotional messages can also be broadcast to passers-by via the iRoadvert Beacon, a device embedded on the vehicle which sends messages to smartphones and tablets which carry the required app. The broadcast messages can be pre-programmed to change according to the vehicle’s location.

The new technology is the result of a five-year project and “hundreds of thousands of pounds” of investment, according to Roadvert CEO Lawrence Craig.

When the vehicle is carrying the Spedian vehicle graphic system, Roadvert Media is used to capture a breakdown of reach and impacts in real time. The iBeacon can transmit messages that match the graphics on the vehicle, or that supplement the marketing campaign.

“The data collected from both these sources creates a very powerful marketing tool, which we believe will be a game changer and one embraced by fleet operators seeking a viable return on their vehicle investment,” says Craig.
