Route Logistics takes eight new Actros tractors from Ryder 25 July 2016

Rockingham-based Route Logistics has taken delivery of eight new Mercedes-Benz Actros 44-tonners on lease from Ryder as part of the firm’s expansion plans.

All are Actros 2543 Streamspace 6x2 tractor units, bringing Route Logistics’ fleet to 16, all supplied by Ryder.

“Ryder has supported us for a number of years, but especially with our growth over the past 12 months,” comments Route Logistics transport manager Chris Robinson.

“By offering us a flexible and reliable leasing solution, Ryder enables us to keep on top of cost control, while maintaining first class operator compliance and vehicle reliability,” he continues.

Explaining that the business has been expanding since moving to Rockingham Motor Speedway in April 2016, he adds: “The new operating centre gives us room for further expansion. It also strategically places us in the heart of our industry with key customers’ regional and national distribution centres being within a short distance of our location.”
