Royal command for Stertil Koni lifts 26 February 2020

Stertil Koni has supplied a heavy-duty vehicle lift to the Royal Marines, to support workshop operations at the Stonehouse barracks in Plymouth.

Used predominately to service, maintain and repair various types of personnel carriers, the Stertil Koni four-post vehicle lift, model ST 4120, provides a lifting capacity of 12 tonnes.

The lift incorporates a pair of 6m-long platforms with low drive-on height so that wheeled and tracked vehicles can be accommodated. For added flexibility, workshop engineers can adjust the space between the platforms from 800mm up to 1650mm.

Driven rams at the four corner posts are all are electronically synchronised. The unit containing the control box and hydraulic pump can be positioned on any of the four posts to simplify operation, maintenance and inspection, and the platforms have an independent gravity-operated locking mechanism.
