Ryder recruits HGV technicians to service growing demand24 July 2015

Commercial vehicle rental firm Ryder is expanding its Northampton operation, creating five additional roles for HGV technicians to meet growing business demand.

Bruce Howard, operations director, says the company needs to boost the number of technicians for both day and night shifts. "We'd prefer to recruit technicians who already have HGV licences as we often have to collect, and deliver back, vehicles from our customers."

The new recruits will be working on a range of marques, including DAF, Mercedes, MAN and Iveco, as well as on Euro 6 vehicles and refrigerated trailers.

"They will get the opportunity to be trained on, and work with, the latest commercial vehicle technology," he adds.
