Sandhurst selects Canters for payload and dealer support 06 September 2012

Hydraulic attachment supplier Sandhurst has just taken delivery of eight 7.5-tonne Fuso Canter 7C15 flatbed LCVs with Duonic transmissions.

Transport manager Hugh Boorman says he chose these commercial vehicles, because of their impressive payload, coupled with "superb" dealer back-up.

"Payload is the critical factor for us and these Canters have the lowest unladen weight of any comparable vehicle we've found," comments Boorman.

"Most 7.5-tonne trucks can't carry anything close to four tonnes," he adds.

"The Canter also offers outstanding reliability," he continues. "We've been running them for years and have never had a mechanical failure."

Boorman goes on to state that the Duonic transmission has changed his opinion of automatic boxes, which he previously viewed as heavy, and not very economical.

"The new Canter weighs even less than its predecessor, while the official fuel economy figures are better too. So we win on both counts, while at the same time making our drivers' lives easier," he says.
