Scania coach orders include a gem for Jewels17 September 2015

Gravesend-based Jewels Tours has added the third Scania to its fleet, this time choosing the Irizar i6 body instead of the Irizar PB.

The 12.9m, 53-seater is built on the Scania K 440 EB6x2*4 chassis, with fully automated Opticruise gear selection system, and it has extra-dark tinted glazing, road and reversing camera and Bosch audio/visual kit.

Doncaster-based Wilfreda Beehive has taken two Scania K 400 EB6x2*4 coaches in the past year, both with Irizar i6 bodywork.

The high-spec vehicles are used to transport sports teams and feature on-board sockets, full kitchen, Sky TV, Apple TV, 4G Wi-Fi, microwaves, fridges, hot and cold water facilities, tables and central sunken washroom.

Meanwhile, Hodgsons Coaches, based in County Durham, has taken delivery of its first Scania coach, with OmniExpress bodywork.

The 14.1m, 63-seater is based on a Scania K 400 EB6x2*4 chassis with 400bhp Euro 5 engine and fully automated Opticruise gear selection system.

Scania’s fleet management software is provided for 10 years on all orders.
