Scania doubles up on coach orders05 July 2016

Two Scania owners have returned to the coach manufacturer for their next fleet orders.

Kent-based Bayliss Executive Travel has taken delivery of its second batch of new Scania coaches (pictured) – a pair of Irizar i6 12.45m overall length, fitted to Scania’s Euro 6 K 360 IB4x2 chassis.

Both have fully automated Opticruise gear selection, Lane Departure Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control and Advanced Emergency Braking.

Executive features include Bosch AV equipment, Bosch Bluetooth microphone in the driver’s seat, climate control, centre sunken toilet and washroom, servery, fridge, reversing camera, 53 half leather passenger seats with piping and seat-back tables. The interior also has a wood-effect floor.

Both vehicles come with R&M, managed by Scania Dover, and OnBoard telematics for 10 years.

Alistair Baylis, managing director of Bayliss, says: “I’m really excited about these two new vehicles becoming part of our fleet. We’re trying to build the company with quality and longevity in mind, and these two new Scanias fit that profile perfectly.”

Elsewhere, Crawley-based Travelstar has taken delivery of its second Scania in six months, this time an

Omni-Express Finesse Limited Edition on contract hire with full R&M.

The 12.8m-long vehicle is fitted with the latest Scania K 410 EB4x2 chassis and has a 410bhp SCR-only Euro 6 engine coupled to the Opticruise fully automated gear selection system.

Inside, there are 53 half leather seats with piping, Bosch AV equipment with two monitors, servery, washroom, reversing camera and fridge.

The Finesse Limited Edition also boasts built-in GPS navigation, bi-xenon headlamps, lateral displacement to all seats, pre-heater, spare wheel and Limited Edition badging.
