‘Second-to-none’ service clinches deal for MAN26 January 2017

Leading truck manufacturer MAN Truck & Bus UK is enjoying repeat business with Lancashire warehousing and distribution firm the HPH Group.

Warehousing and distribution firm HPH Group has taken delivery of 10 MAN TopUsed TGX vehicles, citing MAN’s “second to none” aftersales service.

The Preston-based operator’s latest additions are all TGX 26.440 models with XLX cabs – and it has already placed an order for another in 2017.

The TopUsed TGXs join a 97-strong fleet, most of which bears the MAN brand. Steve Sugden, HPH general manager, explains: “We run 97 vehicles and 95% of the fleet is MAN. They are a mixture of newly owned, MAN TopUsed and rental vehicles, and range from 7.5-tonners to 44-tonners.

“We have gone with MAN for a long time and we know they are competitive and offer a good product – but, for us, it is the aftersales service that makes us return. The service is truly second to none.”

The latest acquisitions are maintained in house by HPH, with parts and support via nearby dealer MAN Preston.
