Significant order increase for Vauxhall Corsavan this year 11 June 2013

Vauxhall says that it has seen sales of its Corsavan increase by nearly a quarter since the start of the year, compared to the same period in 2012.

Sales to small businesses have seen a particularly big increase, up by more than 70% year-on-year, cementing the popularity of this surprisingly roomy, well-equipped and economical van, which has a payload of 550kg.

According to Richard Collier, national commercial vehicle sales manager at Vauxhall, one of the reasons is Corsavan's fuel economy, which is stated as up to 83.1mpg on the combined cycle, with CO2 emissions of 89g/km.

Another way van operators are saving money is on insurance, with all Corsavan models falling into Group 1E, he observes.

"We're delighted with the significant sales growth that Corsavan has experienced so far in 2013," states Collier.

"Of course, with a best-in-class payload and outstanding fuel economy at a time of rising fuel costs, we're not surprised."
