Sporting charity kicks on with Mercedes Citan vans23 September 2015

Cardiff City FC Foundation – a charity linked to Cardiff City Football Club – has taken delivery of 13 Mercedes-Benz vans for coaches to use to visit schools and community venues across South Wales.

The vans were part sponsored by dealer Euro Commercials and are all Citan 109 CDI Long models with 90bhp engines, the smallest vehicle in the range.

The Foundation has 30 qualified coaches who deliver multi-sport activities and educational programmes to 36,000 children and adults every year.

“The Citan is impressively well appointed, comfortable and easy to drive, as well as being perfectly sized to carry the balls and other equipment used by coaches to deliver our programmes,” says Ryan Jones, the Foundation’s head of business development.

The Citans are supplied on a CharterWay contract hire agreement from Mercedes-Benz Financial Services and will be maintained in the dealer’s workshop, in Cardiff.
