FTA says it’s “the ultimate app for drivers”, allowing them to keep track of their most recent driving updates, including date and time of the last card upload and the last activity involved.
They can also view key working times, weekly rest figures, and other drivers’ hours information, including what time their next shift can start, according to FTA Tachograph product owner Sam Varrall.
“Driverfta enables drivers to take responsibility for their own hours, assisting them in planning their day more accurately and ensuring they keep within the legal limits,” states Varrall.
“We have listened to the needs our members and, after long discussions, have worked with them to develop innovative software to save time, money and improve compliance.”
With changes in technology and customer demand, operators have highlighted that drivers need a more transparent view of their working hours with clear indications of forward hours and driver history to reduce the risk of infringements, he explains.
More importantly, this information needs to be easily accessible so drivers can access it quickly and at their own convenience without the need to return to the office.
