Streetlite proves perfect for Docherty’s school run 13 August 2013

Auchterarder coach company Docherty's Midland Coaches has taken delivery of a 10.2m StreetLite – the operator's seventh PSV from Wrightbus.

The drivetrain is a combination of a Euro 5 engine – a Cummins four-cylinder 185PS iSBe – and a Voith DIWA gearbox with integrated hydrodynamic retarder.

Smaller than some coaches having a 37-person seating capacity, it is comfortably able to carry a total of 70 passengers, making it a flexible option.

"The vehicle's smaller size and class leading seating capacity is perfect for our requirements," says director of Docherty's Midland Coaches Neil Docherty.

"We also based our decision to take the vehicle from Wrightbus on the excellent service that we've previously received from them. The backup and support is second to none, which is vitally important when you're running essential services such as ours."
