Tachodisc works with RAC for breakdown packages 26 February 2015

Tachodisc and RAC Business have announced a partnership deal, which will see Tachodisc promoting RAC’s range of truck breakdown services to its customers.

The deal follows a meeting at the 2014 CV Show and the new offering will be launched at this year's CV Show (14—16 April, NEC, Birmingham).

Tachodisc managing director Philip Jordan says corporate and SME customers will be able to access a range of pay-on-use or subscription-based truck breakdown packages – starting with RAC's subscription-based Truck Breakdown service, and then RAC Truck Insurance and RAC Truck Warranty.

"The partnership enables us to further extend the range of added value services we can offer our road transport customers," states Jordan.

"All operators need some form of breakdown cover to protect their business's time and money, and with RAC Business we have the confidence of knowing that we are presenting high quality packages that are supported by a trusted and reputable company."

With RAC Truck Rescue, operators pay an annual premium that covers trucks for up to four breakdowns a year – with all makes and models from 3.5 tonne vans to 44-tonners covered.

"It is a great opportunity to work in conjunction with another well-established and trusted brand, and also demonstrates the power of the CV Show where the initial idea for the partnership was first discussed," comments Adam Smith, RAC's insurance product specialist.
